Tesamorelin dosage by administration route

Tesamorelin injectable dosage

EGRIFTA SV is 1.4 mg subcutaneously once daily; EGRIFTA WR is 1.28 mg subcutaneously once daily. The two formulations are not interchangeable. An alternative schedule uses reported daily subcutaneous amounts of 1–2 mg over 3–6 months. These generic amounts do not replace the formulation-specific 1.4 mg EGRIFTA SV or 1.28 mg EGRIFTA WR doses; the different presentations are not interchangeable by nominal milligrams.[1][2][8]

Tesamorelin stimulates GH release and raises IGF-1. Its labeled indication concerns excess abdominal fat in adults with HIV-associated lipodystrophy.[1][2][3]

Frequency and timing

Evening is the usual timing.[4]

Tesamorelin safety and side effects

Approval and product quality

FDA-approved injectable tesamorelin products exist for reducing excess abdominal fat in adults with HIV-associated lipodystrophy. The label does not cover general weight loss, fitness, or anti-aging use.[5][1][2][6]

Side effects and long-term safety

Injection-site and musculoskeletal symptoms are relevant tolerability concerns. Glucose intolerance or diabetes monitoring and IGF-1 elevation require attention. Long-term cardiovascular safety has not been established in labeling.[1][2]

Route-specific dosing limits

Key cautions involve active malignancy, pituitary-axis conditions, glucose changes, and other contexts where GH/IGF-1 signaling can be inappropriate. Additional schedules attributed to Everything Peptide are reported patterns; citing research does not make these schedules clinically established or approved product instructions.[1][8]
