DSIP dosage chart
This summary table compares available dose amounts and schedules by administration route.
| Route | Dose | Frequency & duration |
|---|---|---|
| Injectable | 100–300 mcg | Nightly · 2–6 wk |
| Intranasal | 300 mcg (Deltaran) | Once daily · 5 days |
| Transdermal | 3.5 mL of 0.2 mg/mL donor solution (0.7 mg loaded) | Single laboratory exposure · 9-hour sampling period |
DSIP dosage by administration route
DSIP injectable dosage
Reported-use amounts for DSIP are 100–300 mcg per administration, nightly, for 2–6 wk. Another reported subcutaneous amount is 200–400 mcg daily in 5–10-day courses. This is a separate shorter pattern from the 2–6-week injectable course above and is not interchangeable with the Deltaran nasal formulation.[12][13]
DSIP is a nine-amino-acid peptide associated with sleep and stress-response signaling. Proposed sleep effects do not establish a dependable insomnia treatment.[1][2][3][12]
DSIP intranasal — deltaran formulation dosage
The documented Deltaran nasal formulation uses 300 mcg once daily for five days. Its concentration and directions define a separate preparation from injectable DSIP.[11]
DSIP is a nine-amino-acid peptide associated with sleep and stress-response signaling. Proposed sleep effects do not establish a dependable insomnia treatment.[5][11][1][2][3]
DSIP transdermal — ex vivo iontophoresis dosage
The iontophoresis experiment loads 3.5 mL of 0.2 mg/mL DSIP solution into the donor chamber, totaling 0.7 mg over 0.785 cm² of excised rabbit-ear skin. Samples are collected over 9 hours while pH, current and enzyme inhibitors are compared. This is a laboratory reservoir amount, not a sleep-treatment patch dose.[6]
The experiment uses cathodal iontophoresis rather than a passive adhesive patch. Its donor concentration, enzyme-inhibitor conditions and measured skin flux describe a laboratory delivery system.[6][1][2][3]
