Cagrilintide dosage by administration route

Cagrilintide injectable dosage

Single-agent subcutaneous schedules use 0.3–4.5 mg once weekly, with dose levels of 0.3, 0.6, 1.2, 2.4 or 4.5 mg over a 26-week course. Dose escalation spans up to the first 6 weeks. A lower-dose reported progression uses 0.16 mg once weekly for weeks 1–4, 0.3 mg for weeks 5–8, 0.6 mg for weeks 9–12, 1.2 mg for weeks 13–16 and 2.4 mg from week 17. This is a separate schedule from the 26-week single-agent course.[1][12]

Cagrilintide is a long-acting amylin analogue that acts on satiety signaling. Monotherapy and the semaglutide combination have distinct dose-escalation and safety requirements.[1][2][3]

Frequency and timing

Use the same injection day each week.[1][2][6]

Cycle length and breaks

Injectable: 26 weeks (monotherapy). A standard break interval between courses is not established.[1]

Cagrilintide safety and side effects

Approval and product quality

Cagrilintide is not an FDA-approved drug.[5][8][10]

Side effects and long-term safety

Nausea and related gastrointestinal effects are important tolerability concerns. Rare events, long-term use, discontinuation effects and special-population safety remain uncertain. Hypoglycemia is also relevant in diabetes care.[1][2][6][7][9][8]

Route-specific dosing limits

Cagrilintide remains investigational, without an approved product label. Combination exposure with semaglutide or other satiety drugs needs separate assessment. Additional schedules attributed to Everything Peptide are reported patterns; citing research does not make these schedules clinically established or approved product instructions.[5][2][3][6][8][12]
