Thymosin beta-4 dosage by administration route

Thymosin beta-4 wound gel / ophthalmic solution dosage

Documented local formulations include 0.03% wound gel once daily for up to 84 days and 0.1% ophthalmic solution with formulation-specific schedules of two to six applications daily for 28 days. The peptide amount per application depends on gel quantity or drop volume.[1][2]

Full-length thymosin beta-4 is a 43-amino-acid actin-binding peptide. Wound gels, eye solutions and IV preparations are distinct formulations; TB-500 is a different peptide fragment.[1][3][4][5][6][2][7][8][9]

Thymosin beta-4 intravenous — nl005 after coronary intervention dosage

The investigational NL005 schedule after coronary intervention uses 0.25, 0.5 or 2 mcg/kg intravenously, starting 12 ± 4 hours after the procedure and continuing once daily through day 7. These are separate assigned dose levels for acute myocardial infarction care, not a subcutaneous recovery regimen.[10]

Full-length thymosin beta-4 is a 43-amino-acid actin-binding peptide. Wound gels, eye solutions and IV preparations are distinct formulations; TB-500 is a different peptide fragment.[11][10][12][13][8][9]

Thymosin beta-4 intravenous — recombinant nl005 dosage

Recombinant thymosin beta-4 (NL005) uses 0.5, 2 or 5 mcg/kg intravenously once daily for 10 days. Single-administration NL005 amounts span 0.05–25 mcg/kg. A separate synthetic thymosin beta-4 formulation used 42, 140, 420 or 1,260 mg, once and then daily for 14 days; these very different preparations and dose scales are not interchangeable with each other or with TB-500.[11][14]

Frequency and timing

Eye solution and wound gel have separate application instructions, without universal clock times.[1][16][2]

Cycle length and breaks

Wound gel / ophthalmic solution: Up to 84 days (wound gel); 28 days (eye solution). Intravenous — NL005 after coronary intervention: 7 days. Intravenous — recombinant NL005: 10 days. A standard break interval between courses is not established.[1][2][10][11][14]

Thymosin beta-4 safety and side effects

Approval and product quality

Thymosin beta-4 is not an FDA-approved drug.[15]

Side effects and long-term safety

Small wound and eye trials reported acceptable short-term tolerability or no significant adverse effects for the tested local preparations. Uncommon adverse effects, repeated courses and long-term safety remain uncertain.[1][2][11]

Route-specific dosing limits

Local wound and eye tolerability does not establish the safety of systemic or experimental formulations.[1][2]

Common Thymosin beta-4 dosage questions

Can Thymosin beta-4 doses be transferred between routes?

No. Each route and formulation has its own exposure and administration requirements. Use the dose information for the exact presentation rather than copying a tablet, injection or local-product amount to another route.[1][2][10][12][13][14][11]

What dosage is listed for Thymosin beta-4?

Documented local formulations include 0.03% wound gel once daily for up to 84 days and 0.1% ophthalmic solution with formulation-specific schedules of two to six applications daily for 28 days.[1][2]

Does Thymosin beta-4 have a standard cycle or break interval?

Wound gel / ophthalmic solution: Up to 84 days (wound gel); 28 days (eye solution). Intravenous — NL005 after coronary intervention: 7 days. Intravenous — recombinant NL005: 10 days. A standard break interval between courses is not established.[1][2][10][11][14]
